Introduction

RoClean underground wastewater treatment plants have been developed to exceed the most demanding technical regulatory requirements, providing the best wastewater storage solution on the market. RoClean tanks are available in standard capacities from 2,600L to 50,000 litres – larger volumes can be achieved by connecting several tanks together; so for example we are able to connect 8 x 50,000L giving the customer a 2,000PE wastewater treatment plant.

The RoClean is compliant to EN12566-3 and is manufactured under the procedures of ISO 9001 and 14000 (Quality and Environmental Standards).

Sustainable, Reliable, Affordable!

How does the RoClean SBR System work?

Using SBR technology, wastewater is treated in batches, resulting in consistently high levels of cleaning. Controlled by a factory preset computer control panel, comprising of a controller, 4 magnetic valves a silent, energy efficient compressor and colour coded air hoses, the system operates 4 cycles per day comprising of 6 stages. As a result of the system operating in cycles, the compressor runs less than other systems, thus lower running costs and power consumption, consequently saving money.

Each cycle consists of six stages:

  • Wastewater enters and settles in the first chamber
  • Airlift transfers sewage from chamber 1 to chamber 2 (aeration chamber)
  • Aeration – air is circulated in the chamber via membrane diffuser on base of tank
  • Sedimentation – treated wastewater is separated from sludge – no aeration
  • Treated wastewater discharged from aeration chamber via sampling chamber
  • Activated sludge returned to chamber 1

RoClean SBR+ 500-2000Pe Sewage Treatment Plant

RoClean SBR+ 500-2000PE Sewage Treatment Plant – MBBR technology or SBR+ employs thousands of polyethylene biofilm carriers operating in mixed motion within an aerated treatment basin. Each individual biocarrier increases productivity through providing a protected surface area to support the growth of heterotrophic and autotrophic bacteria within the cells. It is this high density population of bacteria that achieves high rate biodegradation within the system, while offering process reliability and ease of operation at the same time.

Plug & Play System

Installation is simply a plug and play system that suits the level of outflow waste water. The air pressure hoses and the corresponding connections to the system control are colour-coded which avoids installation errors.

The LCD display shows the operating hours of the individual devices. Any power failure is indicated with an alarm. All components are installed in such a way that they can be exchanged very easily.

Holiday Mode

The SBR wastewater treatment system can be adjusted to changing conditions by altering the cycle times. The system can also be switched to holiday mode.

SCADA Application

Optional remote control of the sewage treatment plant. The SCADA system is an excellent solution for the monitoring and remote control of sewage treatment plants. It allows remote control and access via the internet, smart phones, iPad and other mobile devices, giving owners and operators complete control of the system. The implementation of the SCADA and a telemetry system has a positive impact on the operations, maintenance, process improvement and savings for treatment plant owners.

Advantages

  • Certified to European Standard EN12566
  • Superior performance rating
  • No mechanical or electrical components within the plant
  • Low running and maintenance costs
  • Easy to install and maintain
  • Manufactured under the procedures of ISO 9001 and
  • 14000 (Quality and Environmental Standards)

Material

Manufactured in polyethylene, which is 100% recyclable and ribbed for reinforcement. Roto supply the RoClean rotomoulded tanks in one-piece up to 25,000 litre and 30,000 – 50,000L is welded with a telescopic neck for fast and easy installation. The tanks have a 600mm to 800mm diameter plastic cover with a seal and four stainless steel screws making them watertight. Inflow and outflow connections can be configured to the customers’ requirements from DN50 to DN400. The Roto tank wall thickness ranges from 8-14mm to give the tank its stiffness.
